Bernard-Henri Lévy, a war reporter, philosopher, and writer, began his career writing for the French journal Combat. After covering the war between Pakistan and India over Bangladesh, Lévy founded the New Philosophers group.
Lévy has held several diplomatic positions with the French government, and written numerous books including his debut with Barbarism with a Human Face and, more recently, Who Killed Daniel Pearl? and War, Evil and the End of History. In 2002, he was appointed by the French government to head a fact-finding mission to Afghanistan in the wake of its war with the United States. |
