Jean Canavaggio
Jean Canavaggio is former director of the Casa de Velázquez in Madrid.

He is the author of individual and collective books, mainly on Spanish Literature of the Golden Age. His book Cervantes won the Prix Goncourt for biography in 1986. He is the editor of the new French translation of the Cervantes’s works in the Bibliothèque de la Pléiade and he has just published Don Quichotte, du livre au mythe: quatre siècles d'errance.
