Jose Luis Martinez

JosÃ© Luis MartÃnez S. was born in Mexico City in 1955 and has been a journalist for over 31 years.

MartÃnez is a founding member of the newspaper Milenio Diario. His column â€œEl Santo Oficioâ€ has appeared since 1986 in various media outlets.

Martinez is the co-author of the book De la regiÃ³n al mundo and author of La vieja guardia: Protagonistas del periodismo mexicano.

He was the editor of the Instituto de Investigaciones EstÃ©ticas of the UNAM and editor in chief of the publication Cuaderno de SemiÃ³tica, at the AsociaciÃ³n Mexicana de Estudios SemiÃ³ticos, which he founded.
