Complete (for now) anthology of Spain's preeminent poet, journalist,
and author of dozens of novels and short story collections. First (to
my knowledge) non-native (and lesbian) chosen to serve as the
equivalent of Spain's poet laureate (2005). She's an exile from
Uruguay's military dictatorship, departing in 1972 after many friends
turned up in crudely fashioned coffins on their parents door-stoop.
She's been a naturalized Spanish citizen for a number of years, and
since the early sixties, has published over 40 books.
