Pobrecito poeta que era Yo...
Author name: Roque Dalton
Publication year: 1976
Original language: Spanish

Pobrecito poeta que era yo... is Roque Dalton's only known novel, published posthumously in 1976. P.P.Q.E.Y. is reminiscent of Cortazar's Libro de Manuel (A Manual for Manuel) & Guillermo Cabrera Infante's Tres tristes tigres (Three Trapped Tigers). Arguably his greatest work, it merely leaves me wondering what he might have done had he not been assassinated at age 39, just shy of his 40th b'day.
