Yasmina Khadra (the nom de plume of Mohammed Moulessehoul) was born in Algeria in 1955. After 30 years of military service, he began a new career as a writer. In conversation with NYU Professor Emmanuelle Ertel, Khadra will discuss his work, including the best-selling The Swallows of Kabul, his life as an officer, and what it’s like to achieve success under an assumed name.

This conversation will be in French.
