I am a native Tennessean who moved to Portland, Oregon to further my
writing career. Since moving here, my writing has improved and my
confidence has grown. I joined Pen to keep me informed and so I can
participate in an active community of writers.
In my fiction I try to examine disenfranchised characters and how they
negotiate in their worlds. I want to show ignored people in a sympathic
light and I seek dignity in struggles of the common woman. My work can
