Aleksandar Hemon, Bosnian-born author of The Question of Bruno, Nowhere Man, and the upcoming novel of immigrant dreams and murder, The Lazarus Project, talks with Rabih Alameddine, Lebanese-born painter, writer, and author of the recent Arabian Nights–style masterwork, The Hakawati. Both writers have been praised for their inventive use of language and their abilities to weave together grand, elaborate narratives of nations and people into unforgettable fiction. Aleksandar Hemon takes the driver’s seat, interviewing Rabih Alameddine about the large and small repercussions of his epic journeys, both personal and literary.
