Author Edmund White has said that the international best-selling memoir The Sexual Life of Catherine M. “is the most explicit book about sex ever written by a woman.” Millet’s autobiographical account of orgies at a Parisian swingers’ club—and just about every other sexual encounter imaginable—is a fascinating, no-holds-barred, raunchy, and explicit tale of sex and sexuality. But there’s another side to Millet: she has also written critically acclaimed books about Yves Klein and contemporary art, as well as essays about Simone de Beauvoir. Join her with The New Yorker’s Adam Gopnik for a discussion about jealousy, art, politics, and, yes, sex.
