radio silence

It was difficult at first, her disappearing act, not answering the phone or the emails, letting the newspapers pile up and the letters go unopened, except for the bills (these she paid with her paypal account). And before she knew it she became known as "that" woman next door, "that" woman down the street (you know "that" woman, there's one on every street). She stopped being Sadie and became that "crazy lady". This suited her just fine--her indefinite radio silence. She preferred her new identity, her new name--radbeatnikfemchick257--to Sadie anyway.
