In this rapidly shifting publishing landscape and lousy economy, it’s difficult for authors and journalists to keep up with all the changes and lay offs. Will all newspapers and magazines disappear if they don’t go digital? Should everyone who wants to work at the New York Times, Wired or Slate learn interactive skills? Should writers submit work to agents and editors using email or snail mail? Are clips best sent with links, attachments, or by fax? If we blog can that material then be sold to the New Yorker, New York Times, or be expanded for a book? Will E-books replace hard covers and paperbacks soon? Can lower book advances save book publishers from going out of business?

These provocative questions and many more will be posed by moderator Susan Shapiro, an author and journalism teacher, and answered candidly by experts in the field.
