At UC Berkeley I teach undergraduates and at UC San Francisco graduates. I am interested in furthering the writer's voice in civic discourse, a voice that would stimulate reasoned dialogue explicitly through essays or implicitly in literature. My focus is on teaching about that awareness since we sorely need an emerging place for the writer's voice.
