Words
Over Walls: Starting a Writing Workshop in Prison is a handbook
directed to those on the outside who are interested in beginning this
work. It was written by Hettie Jones, former chair of the PEN Prison
Writing Program, and Janine Pommy Vega, a member of the Prison Writing
Committee; both have taught writing workshops in prisons for many years.
