Esther Allen’s translations include The Selected Writings of José Martí, Lands of Memory by Felisberto Hernández, Dark Back of Time by Javier Marías, The Tale of the Rose by Consuelo de Saint Exupèry, and, most recently, Alma Guillermoprieto’s Dancing with Cuba: A Memoir of the Revolution. She is the co-director of PEN's World Voices Festival and an assistant professor at Seton Hall University.
