I do object to having my published/copyrighted works made available to the public via the Google Print Library Project.

I regard Google's policy as arrogantly exploitative.  I cannot imagine that the courts will sustain the Google position that it is free to disregard copyright so long as the violated have not explicitly withdrawn their works from the Google Print Library Project.
