I do object to having my published/copyrighted works made available to the public via the Google Print Library Project.

Nothing will stop the onward press of info-gluts to commandeer all the printed words in the world. But who will protect the writer? And what incentive will publishers have to print, market, and publicize our words?

I have at least one book that earns a small but steady royalty each year. If it's available online, why will students buy it, even at a sweet paperback price?

We've known for a while that this situation was upon us. Nothing will work except a concerted effort on the part of organizations such as PEN and various publishers to at least build in some restraints.
