Acclaimed Swiss writer Peter Stamm, author of the novels Agnes, Unformed Landscape, and On a Day Like This, and the short story collection In Strange Gardens, and poet Michael Hofmann, translator of Stamm’s works and of many twentieth-century masters, will converse about the challenges of bringing Stamm into English. Moderated by Susan Bernofsky, co-chair of the Translation Committee and an award-winning translator from German.
