| The Street of Sand |
A collection of short stories, (two novella-length, and four short ones) that received the prestigious AKUM award and successfully evokes a time past of a forgotten Israel, when Jews and Arabs lived side by side, in beautifully rich language. The narrator, a contemporary Israeli woman, recalls the past, while dealing with the present, and revives women from her childhood, colorful and diverse women.
Recommended by Tsipi Keller.
