El Dios Dormido is a stream-of-consciousness recounting of Mary Magdelene. The images are dense and provocative like Joyce or Proust. In the later novel, El Hijo del Aire, a woman writes about the experience connected to “missing” a child in Argentina. Both deserve English translations.
