Four years ago, I moved from Long Island, New York, to a farm in northwest Michigan, where I live on a small peninsula of cherry farmers, that juts out into Lake Michigan at the 45th parallel that produces one-third of the world's cherries, and includes my two brothers. I have one daughter, who's a computer programmer and about to head out to college, and a husband who's begun a series of mysteries. I've published eight short stories in literary
journals, I've been a guest editor for Interlochen's Dunes Review, northern Michigan's literary journal. My stories have been accepted into literary journals and anthologies, in part by two poet laureates, Fred Chappell and Maxine Kumin, and my work been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, and placed in the Pirate's Alley William Faulkner awards. I am writing again after a four-year delay while I became a caregiver to my father. I'm nearing the end of a literary novel and short story collection, and have begun my search for publishers. I would enjoy hearing the process of publishing from others who are publishing now.
