Anna-Nina G. Kovalenko
Location: New York, NY

Occupation: Artist/writer/"performer"

I was born and grew up in Siberia, Russia, studied cinematography in Moscow. Then I was living and participating in peace movement. (You know, the war in Afganistan and its consequences...) For not so short while(1981-1986, 87) I was a prisoner of conscience and experienced something different from pleasure... In January,1987 I was released and exiled out from Soviet Union (Russia).

We—my child and I—came to the United States, in particular in New York and completed the army of miserables. However, since then I succeeded to become a member of Salon Independents (Paris, France), which helped me to display regularly my art works. Plus I continue to write and  publish—stories, poems etc.—in Russian magazines; own books in  New York--"Effect Publishing Inc." (3) in St.Peterburg, "Sudarynia" Publishing (1).

Now I have manuscripts, three of them in English, but feel exhausted and "blinded": where to publish, and who's going to read? My concern/device about beauty and eternity of SOUL??
