My memoir, Sixty-Five Roses: A Sister's Memoir was published September 2006 in Canada by McArthur & Co. Within 10 days it went to #2 on the McNally Robinson Bestseller list. 

I am currently working on my first novel, The Testing Tree, after the poem by Stanley Kunitz. 

I'm a former actor, married to an actor; family in Canada where I was born and raised; a New Yorker for over 20 years; a daughter, sister, wife, stepmother, grandmother.

Favorite quotes: "I came to live outloud" —Emile Zola; "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters when compared to what lies within us." —Thoreau.

Mentors have been Ted Conover, D. M. Thomas; Sally Bingham, June Gould, Eunice Scarfe. I'm a 22 year member and on the Board of the International Women's Writing Guild.

Favorite authors include: Camilla Gibb, Wallace Stegner, Marilynne Robinson, William Styron, Arundati Roy. Favorite poets include:  Mary Oliver, Billy Collins, Audre Lorde, Adrienne Rich
